SS United States Part 2: The ship was the largest ocean liner constructed entirely in the US, and the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic. Her designers also created a ship with almost no wood for her interiors (due to a fire phobia) that left the ship with a cold interior....Odd and not my taste.
